Now that the holidays are over, we know it can be easy to let quality time with your loved ones fall by the wayside. After all, we’re all busy and it’s so cold outside! However, we’d like to challenge you, instead, to get out of the house and make the most of your time with family and friends. Take advantage of some of these wonderful (and indoor) activities and opportunities that Kansas City has to offer:

Visit a museum

Whether you and your loved ones are into history or science, sports or music, there’s probably a museum in Kansas City for you all to visit.
Interested in history? Try the Arabia Steamboat Museum or The National WWI Museum
If you’re looking for something that hits a different note, there’s the American Jazz Museum
For a more hands-on experience that’s centered on learning through play, be sure to head over to Science City at Union Station.
If you’re counting down the days until baseball season then the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum might be just the place to spend time with your baseball-loving friends.
None of these pique your interest? Have you been to The National Museum of Toys/Miniatures? It’s a quirky and playful way to hang out with your family.

Tour a brewery or distillery

If craft beers appeal to you, you may be interested to know that Boulevard Brewing hosts tours (with samples) every day of the week. KC Bier Co also has tours, every Saturday, and you all get a souvenir glass with your ticket!
If liquor and spirits are more to your taste, then just north of Kansas City in Weston, MO is Holladay Distillery where you can experience real Missouri bourbon. Or hop over to Lenexa, KS and spend the day at Union Horse Distilling Company experiencing their small batch approach with your buddies.

They have others for children aged 2-8 that adults can attend, a new experience for you and your favorite kiddos. TasteBuds Kitchen over in Leawood, KS also has class offerings that are perfect for families hungry to make memories.
